About Taveroo
Taveroo started with one ice cream shop in Melbourne. The owner needed a roster that teenage casuals would actually check, that knew about school hours and limits for under-18s, and that didn’t need a group chat to keep everyone up to date.
Most rostering apps are built for bigger businesses and priced per person. We wanted something simpler and calmer for small shops: build the week, catch the clashes, publish it to everyone’s phone.
What we believe
- People decide
- The app checks, drafts and explains. A person publishes the roster, approves leave and confirms every AI suggestion.
- Warnings explain themselves
- Never just “conflict”. Always “Sam Okafor is on approved leave Sat 17 Oct”, so you know what to fix.
- One fair price
- A flat monthly price for the business, with unlimited staff. Growing your team for summer shouldn’t cost more.
- Your data is yours
- It’s stored in Australia, kept separate from every other business, and owners can download all of it at any time.
Who it’s for
Independent cafés, ice creameries, bakeries and other small hospitality businesses in Australia, usually with one owner or manager doing the roster and a team of casual and junior staff.
If you have a few locations, that works too. If you need payroll, award interpretation or enterprise approvals, a bigger system is probably a better fit, and that’s fine.
